We are pleased to introduce this Triumph Daytona "Cafe Racer" for sale. Our example started its life as a Daytona T595 and then Marling Motorcycles waved their magic wand over the bike and produced the creation we see before us today. The bike had a full strip down and had the upgraded 955i engine fitted, • Café racer nosecone fairing and upgraded headlamp, 2014 speed triple swing arm and rear wheel fitted, Single seat conversion, shortened subframe, Bespoke subframe side panels, Wavy discs front and back, Brembo brake components, Speedo conversion, taken from Triumph Scrambler, Temperature gauge set into tank cowl, Custom paint job black/cream, Powder Coated cream wheels, Bar end mirrors, Wilbers rear shock.
Here builder Adam Marling tells us his story:
"In 1997 Triumph Motorcycles released a muscular triple powered 955cc sports bike to compete with the Japanese litre class race bikes. The T595 was over-engineered, cumbersome and behind the curve in understanding the relationship between weight and speed. In reality it never challenged the Fireblade or the R1. However, it was British, full of character, produced 130bhp and was built to last. Today these iconic motorcycles are gaining cult status particularly with us here at Marling Motorcycles. Due to their simple tube frame construction, fuel injection system, strong triple engines and evocation of a bygone age they lend themselves to considered customisation. To date we have produced about a dozen of these custom motorcycles; Cafe racers, Sports bikes and naked streetfighter styles, displayed at the Bike Shed Show and in kickback magazine.
With each project we learn a little more about what it takes to produce a bike with character. We aim to evoke a sense of both nostalgia and of the modern. To ride one of these specials is to be connected to the great names of Motorcycling’s golden age; Brands Hatch, Thruxton, Goodwood and Mallory Park. Our bikes are built for the real world; to be ridden, enjoyed, shared with others and allowed to get dirty."
We are a family-owned company who pride ourselves on the quality of our Motorcycles and all of them are carefully chosen, handpicked enthusiast pre-owned examples that are always HPI Clear for your peace of mind. We offer all the usual Motorcycle Dealer facilities such as Low-rate finance and extended warranties and operate a no pressure environment where you can relax and enjoy good old-fashioned service with a smile. We have just upgraded our Indoor Showroom where you can see Motorcycles you sometimes can only dream of seeing and sometimes, we have to pinch ourselves when we get certain bikes in as we would like to keep them all! We cater for very specialist tastes and can source rare and coveted bikes that we do not have in stock and have lots of contacts throughout the world.
