Here we offer for sale yet another super rare piece of Italian exotica, the stunning FB Mondial Piega 1000 SP-1. Our 2007, UK example has covered just 3,186 kilometres (1,979 miles) from new and is a credit to previous owners. The bike is supplied with a host of old MOT's, numerous recommissioning receipts, service history, Dyno printouts and also the original owners manual, sales brochure, spare key and red key card along with the original black display box with a new old stock bike cover, supplied also with the original wheels, Ohlins suspension, expensive forks, factory exhaust (has sports exhaust fitted), all bubble wrapped also a spare clutch in box.

The Mondial Piega 1000 is a rare, exotic Italian sport bike that were produced in very limited numbers in the early 2000s. Mondial was a historic Italian brand known for dominating 125cc and 250cc Grand Prix racing in the late 1940s and 1950s. The company went dormant for decades before a revival effort in the late 1990s/early 2000s under Roberto Ziletti. The Piega 1000 was the flagship of this revival. Originally planned with a Suzuki TL1000 engine, that deal fell through. Honda then supplied its high-performance 999cc V-twin from the VTR1000 SP a notable favour, as Mondial had helped Honda early in its racing history. This was reportedly one of the first times Honda allowed another manufacturer to use one of its engines in a production bike. Production ran roughly 2002–2007. It is believed only around 100 Piegas were built. The company faced financial issues and bankruptcy, making these bikes a much sought after collectable item.
