Here we have for sale our stunning Ducati 996SPS. Our UK example was registered in the UK from new in march 2000, and has covered just 12,350 miles from new.

Our bike is number 407 of the limited production run and is fitted with the Termignoni exhaust system - (Original also included) It is supplied with the original full Ducati service book, owners manual and two keys. The bike is also supplied with a host of paperwork including numerous old MOT certificates and service receipts. The bike also has a unique personal registration included in the sale.

The 996SPS suffix stood for ‘Sport Production Special’. The engine was the same as the one used in the 916SPS but the weight was cut down considerably. The 996SPS produced around 124 bhp, more than the standard 996. The special SPS engine was much stronger than anything that Ducati had produced for the track. To ensure a distance was held between the standard 996 and the 996SPS Ducati designed a much higher specification chassis. The wheels were a five spoke design but were lighter than the standard three spoke design and in 1999 the rear shocks were made by high quality Swedish suspensions manufacturer, Öhlins with Showa front forks.
